The kids at the orphange have so much love in them, they remind us what is important in life. We see God shining through each and everyone of the children as well as each other. It is a wondeful feeling to be surrounded by God, love and friendship.

Our trip to Casa Hogar de los Niņos leaves an impression on the heart with which nothing else can compete. The children in the orphanage become our best friends in those few, quick days. The bonds created between those children and us shows that we are all tied together.

I can't imagine what I'm going to do when I can no longer spend my Spring breaks at Casa Hogar! It is amazing what we can learn from a 5 year old who does not even speak English - the kids teach us so much about life, love, and happiness.

Spending time with the kids at the orphanage is by far the best part of the trip. They are so loving and accepting, and their gratitude makes us realize how blessed we are and reminds us not to take anything for granted.

Self concern is left in the vans when we enter the orphanage. There is no questioning ourselves, no stressing about our lives outside of Casa Hogar. Our focus is on the children and in recognizing our own ability to create a lasting positive impact.
