Because times and locations for meetings may change occasionally, check the monthly calendar to confirm meetings you would like to attend and learn of other events that are upcoming. Bread of Life
A charismatic prayer group that celebrates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a weekly hour of praise and fellowship. Meets weekly on Tuesdays in the All-Faith (Eisenhower) or Meditation Chapel at 7:15pm. Contact the office for more information.
Graduate and Young Professionals Group
Meets twice a month on first and third fridays for socials and lunch discussions. Members plan additional spiritual, social and service activities throughout the year. The group announces activities and discusses issues through two email listservs. Contact the office for more information.
Harrisburg Catholic Worker trip
Each semester students travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to visit the Joshua Group and Catholic Worker House there and to volunteer with urban youth. Contact the Catholic Campus Ministry office.
Hispanic Ministry
The Hispanic Community celebrates Mass once a month at 1pm in the All-Faith (Eisenhower) Chapel. Contact Andres Diaz (865-4501) for more information.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. Visit our page for more information!
Korean Ministry
Celebrates Mass twice a month in Pasquerilla Center; please contact the office for more information.
Liturgical Ministries
Students can bring their gifts by volunteering as lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, hospitality ministers, coordinators or by joining the choir as a singer or instrumentalist. Contact Fr. Men Seeking God
A group of Catholic men, including undergraduates, graduate students, and others in the area, meets every Thursday at 7 pm in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. Discussion includes spiritual and theological topics, with emphasis on applicability to members’ everyday lives. Contact the office for more information.
Mission Mexico
Each year during Spring break a group of Penn State students travel to Tijuana, Mexico to work on a construction project, visit the children at a local orphanage and grow in their spirituality. Contact Debbie Bezilla, Andres Perez or campus minister Fr. David Griffin.
Newman Catholic Student Association
A university student organization that encourages religious growth through retreats, prayer nights, bible study, attendance at Mass and weekly meetings. Meets Mondays at 7:15 PM in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. For more information see their website or contact John Montgomery.
Project Haiti
Raises funds and collects other supplies for people living in poverty in Haiti. During Spring Break, if the political situation allows, the group travels to Haiti to interact with the people there and assist in their needs. For more information see Project Haiti’s website or contact Alain Bonny.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Provides weekly education sessions in a warm learning community for those who are interested in joining the Catholic Church. Meetings start in the Fall Semester and continue most Wednesday evenings. Alternate meeting time is available, contact Fr. Matthew.
Saturday Night Alive in Christ (SNAC)
A blend of Eucharistic Adoration with Contemporary Christian music, personal witness and reflection. Meets monthly. Contact the office for more information.
Women Seeking God
A group of campus women that meets to discuss issues that face Catholic women today. Contact the office for more information.
Women of Grace
A study group that meets Wednesday evenings this fall from 6-9pm in the Harshbarger Room (Pasquerilla Center). You’ll delve into prayer, Sacred Scripture, Church documents and teachings, the Catechism, the lives of women saints, and the example of our Blessed Mother. You’ll be nurtured and fed spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. You’ll learn to embrace your gift of authentic femininity and your dignity as a daughter of God. You’ll be equipped to fulfill your call and mission as a woman of grace in the world today. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sara Ann Mehltretter.
